Ohad Meromi (b. 1967 in Kibbutz Mizrah, Israel) is a sculptor and multi-media artist who lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. After his release from the army he graduated from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in 1992. Ohad Meromi holds an MFA from Columbia University. Born in Israel, Meromi brings forth his own experience of community living by addressing the agenda of the Israeli Kibbutz through drama, literature, poetry, modernism, and sci-fi movies, creating a layered ambiance and sites of reflection. His work has been included in several solo and group exhibitions such as Nathalie Karg Gallery; Gordon Gallery in Tel Aviv, Israel; PS1 in New York; Israel Museum in Jerusalem, Israel; and the Public Art Fund in New York.
