Nicholas Frank
Nicholas Frank is an artist, writer, and curator residing in San Antonio, where he relocated from Milwaukee after an Artpace residency in 2017. Since Artpace, he has participated in group shows at Blue Star Contemporary, University of Texas at San Antonio, and Sweet Pass Sculpture Park in Texas. Frank ran the Hermetic Gallery from 1993-2001, co-founded the Milwaukee International in 2006, programmed INOVA (Institute of Visual Arts) from 2006-2011, taught and wrote the Fine Arts curriculum at at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design from 2008-2017, and now writes on arts & culture for the Rivard Report in San Antonio. His work has been included in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including with Nathalie Karg Gallery at Untitled, Miami; Western Exhibitions in Chicago, Illinois; Hyde Park Art Center in Chicago, Illinois and the Milwaukee Art Museum. Along with his wife, artist Amada Miller, Frank will be in residence at Alice Yard in Port of Spain, Trinidad, in summer 2019.
